This is rather un-orthodox, but I am compelled to present this opportunity to help some needy people in a very direct, tangible way. I am involved in an organization called Friends of Nepal (FoN). Friends of Nepal is an organization of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who served in Nepal. One of our main activity is to provide grants to non-governmental organizations in Nepal in the sectors of Education, Health Care, Community and Economic Development, Women's Rights, Micro-Enterprise and Gender Equality. Each year we give out a modest sum of $2000-$4000.
